"Due to an eye condition of my retinas, I just didn’t see right. Especially while driving. I was really scared of hitting somebody. I had practiced medicine as a pediatrician for 25 years. Did I stop being a doctor if I stopped driving? And what about all my fun stuff? I ate out. A lot. Met my friends for swim practice four times a week. If I didn’t drive, did all that just…stop?"
I decided in an eyeblink that I would NOT live through the day when I hit someone while driving because "I just didn’t see them." Big changes. Some tears. Lots of walking. New bus friends. Independent Transportation Network has helped to change my life from just plodding through to soaring through! It costs about half of what a taxi would cost, and I use it several times a month. I do have to plan ahead, but I didn’t have to stop work or fun stuff.
